A Good Woman

Some people say a good woman is hard to find
But I dare to differ for her true qualities is one of a kind
She is a woman that you should cherish and not have a value on
One that you can wake up with at the break of each dawn
She is that gleaming light in my eye
And one of the main reasons why I live
She is all that a man could wish for
And to her my heart I would give
This woman you should appreciate the commitment she has given to you
And not ever to take for granted all the things she has given up for you
A good woman does not live in fear of her future because of her past
But rather understands them as an experience in life for which she has grasped
A good woman is someone who is virtuous in the traditional sense of our patriarchy
She is thoughtful, gentle and kind and always ready and willing to listen to what is on our mind
A woman who loves her children and will do without so they can have what they need
A good woman can be your eyes when you are unable to see
Be that voice for you also when you are not able to speak
She is the wind beneath your wing believing in you when nobody else does
Knowing that she is committed and that you have perseverance to succeed against the odds
She is woman who shows what the 3 d’s she has for you
By being determined, dedicated and dependable showing you what a good woman can do
A good woman will let you know that for you she is always there
And will never leave your heart or create any fear
She is one to give me her heart and ask me to give her mine
And hope that I will always love her until the end of time
